General Conditions for Vehicle Rental

By signing the contract, the driver(s) declare that they have read and accepted the conditions detailed in this document, which are necessary for driving the vehicle.

ARTICLE 1 – RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

1.1. Experience and age requirements:
For all vehicles, it is necessary to have experience riding motorcycles — at least one continuous year — or, in the case of cars, more than three years of experience. If the person in charge considers that the client does not have the necessary skills to drive the vehicle — motorcycle or car — the vehicle will not be delivered and the online payment made will not be refunded.

For 125cc motorcycles and their electric equivalents, the driver must be over 21 years old.
For motorcycles of 300cc or more, the minimum age is 25 years.
For cars, the minimum age is 25 years.
A valid and current physical passport or ID card must be presented.
The driving licence must be original and valid:

125cc: A1 or B with 3 years of experience.
200cc and 300cc: A2.
350cc or more: A2 or A.
Cars: B licence.

For licences issued outside the EU or without an agreement with Spain, it will be necessary to present an International Driving Permit together with the original licence. International licences obtained online are not accepted; only physical licences issued by the body equivalent to Spain’s DGT are accepted.
A minimum experience of one continuous year riding motorcycles is required.

1.3. If the client does not meet these requirements, the vehicle will not be delivered and the amount paid will not be refunded.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTRACT HOLDER AND AUTHORIZED DRIVERS

ARTICLE 2 – VEHICLE PICK-UP AND RETURN

The contract holder is responsible for ensuring that both they and any additional drivers comply with the conditions established in the contract. If these conditions are breached, Ride On may take legal action, such as removing the vehicle or demanding its return through legal proceedings.

Responsibilities when picking up the vehicle

Invoicing:
The invoice will be issued in the name of the contract holder. Once signed, it cannot be modified. If the invoice is required in the name of a company, this must be requested before formalizing the contract.

Vehicle inspection:
The holder must inspect the vehicle before using it together with the staff present at pick-up and notify any discrepancy regarding damages or accessories specified in the contract. The client undertakes to return the vehicle in the same condition in which it was received, on the date, at the time, and at the place agreed. The return must be made exclusively at the agreed location.

Acceptance of the vehicle’s condition:
By signing the contract and the annex, the holder accepts the condition of the vehicle, the accessories present, and the recorded damages. Any damage not previously identified will be attributed to the holder.

Installation of extras: If accessories such as child seats are rented, the client will be responsible for their installation.
Acceptance of conditions: By signing the contract, the client accepts the general and specific rental conditions.

2.2. If, for reasons beyond our company’s control, the client does not pick up the vehicle at the agreed time, the contract will not be extended and the unused hours or days will not be refunded.

2.3. The vehicle will be delivered at the time requested by the client in the online booking form. If the client wishes to pick it up earlier, they must pay the corresponding additional amount.

2.4. The agreed return time must be respected without exception. The contract will end when the client delivers the vehicle, the keys, and the documentation to the indicated store.

2.5. If the client selects a delivery and return point outside our offices, they will be provided with a private transfer to our headquarters for delivery of the vehicle. These transfers are subject to traffic and possible schedule variations.

2.7. In Menorca, bookings made after 23:00 p.m. will have an additional charge of €50 for out-of-hours pick-up.

ARTICLE 3 – DEPOSIT

3.2. The deposit may not be used as an extension of the rental. Payment of the deposit must be made exclusively by credit card, unless the client decides to contract the Rider rate, which also requires a credit card. In the Rider rate, this amount does not cover all possible damages, so if the damages exceed the amount of the pre-authorization, the client must pay the difference.

Debit cards are not accepted for the Rider rate.

Once the client returns the vehicle together with the keys, the company will consider the contract ended. The deposit will be refunded within a maximum period of 30 days. If the rental exceeds 28 days, the refund will not be made by card. Bank transfer costs for refunding the deposit will be the client’s responsibility.
