We’re talking about beaches in Mallorca, the best places to enjoy this fantastic island.
Alcudia
First up is Alcudia, There’s an excellent mix of easy access tourism and also authentic Mallorca culture. It’s in the north of the island and it’s one of the most popular resorts there so it can get very crowded. But the fact that it is so touristy means you’re never going to be wanting for food, facilities, showers, … Mallorca is a perfect site to rent scooter.
Cala Millor
The largest and most popular beach on the east coast of Mallorca. It’s not all about the beach though. Restaurants and shops line the promenade and the streets surrounding it. There’s just to do there. Just north of Cala Millor is our next beach.
Cala Bona
The Beaches here are small coves with manmade breakers. They’re mostly sandy but there are some stones here and there. This is a very busy resort, filled with all-inclusive package hotels, restaurants, bars, mini grocery stores… And things liven up even more at night time. Lots going on!. Enjoy Mallorca with your scooter rental Mallorca
Camp de Mar
Camp de mar has to come near the top of the list though, because it’s exclusive flavor. The beach itself though is quite small, so you’ll probably be fighting for a space and obviously the summer months can get really busy that’s probably true for every beach in Mallorca. But the thing that sets Camps de Mar apart is this teeny tiny little island, just away from the beach and you can only access it by a bridge. This whole island is dedicated to restaurant that sits on top of it. It’s called “La IIleta”, it’s really exclusive and it would be quite expensive but it actually looks pretty reasonable. However you do need to make sure reserve a table because all of them are reserved. We managed to sneak in and get this one.
Palma de Mallorca
The whole city of Palma is what’s winning here. It feels a little bit like Barcelona beach, in that it’s urban and fact it’s directly opposite the city center.
Cala d’Or
Which actually means “the Golden bay”, Cala d’Or area have five small beaches and when we say small, we mean teeny tiny!
Santa Ponsa
The first impressions in Santa Ponsa, we’ve seen McDonald’s, a Subway. Irish bars, Scottish bars. There’s music, people are out in quad bikes, there’s hire cars, there’s massages on the beach. It’s lively, there’s traffic everywhere, tourist everywhere. It’s crazy. However. this is the quieter scene compared to Magaluf and Palma Nova, which are its neighbours and it’s on the south west coast of the island.
